About My Clients
Being a young adult is full of transitions, joys, challenges, & uncertainties. Maybe you're looking for support as you adjust to the many changes of our current world, struggling with anxiety or depression, self-esteem & identity, relationship with food/body, or just want someone to talk with. My hope is that together, we can help you in your journey through life and into adulthood. You have stories to tell of your experiences in life's joys, challenges, traumas, celebrations and transitions.
My Background and Approach
I am excited to get to know you and help empower you to overcome challenges, celebrate often, and best navigate human life! I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental yet direct approach and look forward to chatting with you-I want to listen to your stories and help you navigate all of the things that shape you. I want to help you develop positive coping skills and a true sense of self-worth. I have additional experience and training working with those who have experienced traumas, eating disorders, body image concerns, (I'm HAES friendly!) and young adults. I also have training in EMDR therapy to target, reprocess and reframe difficult past life experiences and negative core beliefs. Curious about EMDR therapy? Lets talk!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
After growing up in the Portland area, I moved to Southern CA to receive my BA in psychology at Azusa Pacific University. I then began working at an eating disorder treatment center where I fell in love with the eating disorder population and young adults. I wanted to be able to do more to help, so I returned to APU to get my master's degree in social work. I still have a soft spot for the northwest, am an Oregon Ducks fan, animal lover and coffee enthusiast.
