My approach involves meeting clients where they're at and collaboratively identify treatment goals, whilst building a strong therapeutic relationship so that each person can be comfortable being authentic. My primary modality is EMDR therapy and I work from a person-centered and trauma-informed framework incorporating other interventions as appropriate.
I have found EMDR very helpful in addressing a variety of presenting concerns; trauma (big and small), PTSD/C-PTSD. family of origin issues, interpersonal relationship concerns, food, weight, and body concerns, anxiety, OCD, phobias, depression, self-esteem/confidence/performance issues, and more.
I have been trained in EMDR therapy for a number of years and continue to educate myself whilst engaging in frequent consultation and trainings to make sure that I am providing the most up to date form of the therapy.
