I've worked in schools for the majority of the past 9 years. I care deeply about taking good care of other caretakers whether that's educators, school administrators, medical professionals, or individuals caring for family members. When I first began my graduate studies in social work, I thought I would wind up serving my community at an agency or local government level to put to good use my fierce advocacy skills, dismantling oppressive systems from the inside. My first clinical internship was at a middle school outside of Austin, TX and there I learned how much I love 1:1 therapeutic work, and I've continued on ever since. Relationship is a biological imperative. My practice is rooted in strengths-based, person centered values. I'm an LGBTQ, BLM, body positive, anti-racism ally.
