About My Clients
You are not meant to walk through life alone, and I’m here to listen and support you. My desire as a therapist is to provide a space where you feel heard, seen, and accepted for who you are. If you are looking for healing from trauma, need tools to lower anxiety and depression, or just need a place to explore and be yourself without judgment, this is the right place for you.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is collaborative and adaptable to meet your needs. I go at your pace, and offer gentle challenges only when I feel it will bring about the transformation you’re hoping for. Therapy is meant to be a time for you, so sessions can involve anything from regular discussion, laughing and crying, some silence to just be, or making slime together, depending on your needs. My aim is to empower you to cultivate healing and make lasting changes, or to hold that hope for you when you aren’t able to. My background includes an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University, and a B.A. in Psychology and Minor in Music from Vanguard University of Southern California. I am currently an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT 114001, under the supervision of Dr. Pamela Reeves, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT 51463.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person's story has value to the world. Mental health difficulties arise not because there is something wrong with the person, but out of necessity. Life experiences teach us how to survive, and those survival mechanisms that suited us at one point can develop into anxiety, depression, or difficult communication styles. By unpacking our story, we can change the narrative to be one of empowerment and growth, rather than something holding us back. I have been so privileged to hear the stories and witness deep transformations in the adults and teens I have worked with. I look forward to the honor of providing that support for you as well.
