About My Clients
According to the National Institute for Children’s Health Quality, almost half of the children in the United States today have experienced trauma. I recognize the unfortunate prevalence of trauma and the impact unresolved trauma has on each of us. I specialize in treating children and adults who have experienced trauma and have the training and tools to help you process and heal in a safe environment. I also work with clients who are suffering from depression and anxiety.
My Background and Approach
I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada and moved to the United States in 2012 to further my education. I have been working as a clinician in community behavioral health for the past five years. The best way I have found to personally practice self-care is to get outside! When I’m not at work you can find me spending time with my family, cooking delicious food, and trying my hand at gardening. I know that each person’s mental health needs are unique. That’s why I meet my clients right where they are at. Together we will collaborate in creating a unique treatment plan that is reflective of your own mental health goals. I work from an attachment lens and practice from a strengths based approach. You might be asking, “what does that mean?” I understand when one’s mental health is suffering, it can be hard to see any good in ourselves or our lives. I will help you identify what is going well and how to build on that.
