My specialty areas include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, health conditions/illness (e.g., self or loved ones), trauma, low self-esteem. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, client-centered, strengths-based perspective: focusing on kindness, compassion, caring, advocacy and helping clients feel heard, listened to, understood, and challenged in a healthy way. I assist clients with connecting their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to the deeper meaning of issues and assist clients with problem-solving and coping to enhance their day-to-day lives. I aim to empower clients to identify and create opportunities for personal growth, self-love, and self-confidence. I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, and adults utilizing interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based approaches, and mindfulness/holistic practices.
