About My Clients
We all have an inner critical voice that can overwhelm our experiences and sabotage our relationship with ourselves and others. My clients learn to identify and relate differently to this inner voice, creating a shift in how they treat themselves. They are then able to engage in a process of investigating different parts of themselves and lead their lives with more inner freedom, self compassion, and open heartedness.
My Background and Approach
I work with people approaching middle adulthood and older, who are struggling with life changes that have disrupted things to the point where usual patterns of coping no longer serve. In working through the disruptions we often find that boundaries need shoring up, self-esteem is in need of recovery, and that deeper healing is possible and deserved. This process gives rise to the value of stepping into the wholeness of who you really are. If you are reeling from a life change (or many) that has you feeling out of control, and are finding that the usual sources of support and self-care are not offering the relief you need, I can absolutely relate. My mission is to offer you a new way forward. Relief and inner freedom are not out of your reach. We can’t always change what’s happening, or what will happen, but we can address the impact and degree to which we are burdened by it.
Why I am a Good Fit for You
I am a genuine recovering control freak. I know what it is like to believe I am independent, in control but still hustling for validation from others; cringing at the word “codependent” while relating to all the traits of one. The process of grieving, acceptance, and letting go of this way of being has been brutally challenging and enormously freeing. This inner freedom is what I am called to serve others in finding.
