About My Clients
Are you feeling stuck? Anxious? Overwhelmed? Do you want to shift old patterns of relating to yourself or the people you care about? Whether you’re new to therapy or have been in therapy for years, I will work with you from a place of non-judgment. I believe our past experiences live in our bodies, and I’m interested in how those experiences continue to show up in our lives and our relationships. I work with adult individuals and all people in relationships.
My Background and Approach
I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Other approaches I draw on include IFS (Internal Family Systems), sensorimotor/polyvagal theory, and trauma-informed mindfulness practices. I hold an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin, Stout, and a B.A. from Reed College in Portland, OR. Before pursuing a career as a therapist, I worked in the arts for fifteen years. I have had a personal mindfulness practice for over a decade, which informs how I show up as a therapist. I support people of all genders, sexualities, and relationship structures.
