Hi! I am a Puerto Rican, female social worker who helps children & their families reduce their child's behavioral and emotional struggles.
Clinical Social Worker in Middlesex, NJ
I've worked with Family caregivers during my work experience as a social worker in an elder abuse program, at an Alzheimer's disease organization and at an organization for individuals with Multiples Sclerosis. I also ran support groups and lead presentations about the stress of Family caregiving.
I am currently a Foundational Level Theraplay practitioner and am also pursuing a credential to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). The RPT credential is designated to therapists who have a met a certain level of education and as well as a certain level of hands-on experience using play therapy to work with children and families. I have currently completed 2/3 of my training and hands-on experience.
I have been working with individuals in my practice with Anxiety for the past 11 years. I have taken numerous trainings and continue to learn more about the latest tools to help alleviate anxiety.
I have been using CBT with my clients since the inception of my practice and have seen many of my clients improve to the point of no longer needing therapy on a consistent basis.
I have been trained as a Foundational Level Theraplay practitioner which is a modality that focuses on attachment and aims on forming stronger relationships within the family unit.
