About My Clients
I specialize in individual and couple work and welcome the presence of partners and family members to enhance the therapeutic experience. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, have experienced trauma, are trying to reinvigorate romantic relationships, or live with anxiety/depression. I am happy to work with humans from all backgrounds, but I am especially trying to make space for LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse folx, as well as the polyamorous & neurodiverse communities.
What I Specialize In
Some specialty areas include (but are not limited to): improving communication & building intimacy, the use of kink in self-discovery or healing trauma, exploring consensual/ethical non-monogamy, gender/transition and sexual orientation journeys, coming out, issues around perfectionism and self-worth, adult children of alcoholics, folx in creative or non-traditional professions (SW-affirming), attachment work, issues facing pregnant or postpartum couples, and adult neurodiversity (ADHD & ASD) in relationships. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand that a therapist’s social location and lived experience may be important to my clients, and I am proud to openly identify as a member of the queer, gender-diverse, polyamorous, and neurodiverse (AuDHD) communities, as well as being a secular clinician, a parent, and a partner. I work through a culturally-sensitive lens and defer to my clients as the experts on their own experiences. I believe that humor, emotional honesty and empathy are some of our greatest tools in healing.
