About My Clients

While my practice is comprised of individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds, what many of my clients share is a desire for acknowledgment – a longing for others to witness their unheard truth. It is my hope that therapy can become a place where you feel empowered to regain ownership of your own voice.

My Background and Approach

Much of my work is informed by the idea that, in order for us to heal, we must first feel like our perspective matters. That begins with an acceptance that your struggles (e.g., unmanageable anxiety, heavy feelings of depression, identity confusion) are valid and deserving of support. I strive to create an inclusive, affirmative space where you feel supported to speak your truth into existence. In our time together, we will identify the many forces that have impacted your ability to live authentically. Through the lens of social justice and cultural humility, I will approach our work from a relational place, while also integrating practices centered in acceptance and commitment.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As I've walked through the world as a queer, Korean-Japanese American, there have been countless times when I've been told that I'm not man enough, that I'm unfit for love, and that I don't have a story that deserves to be heard. All too often, I've heard similar accounts from others who belong to the same communities I do. It is for this reason that I pursue mental health - I have strong desire to support those who have felt the most othered by society.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
