About My Clients
Women seek me out to help build boundaries and self-confidence while trying to manage the stressors of life. Most of the women that come to see me believe, if they can "just do a little better" then they will eventually find the perfect balance; only to find, the amount of effort they put in doesn't change their outcome. I also work with people in the LGBTQ+ community and people that love someone in the LGBTQ+ community struggling to adapt to the changes happening in their life.
My Background and Approach
Courtney graduated from the University of Kentucky (twice), once with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a second time with a Masters of Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with 10 years of experience, and provides Clinical Supervision to Certified Social Workers working towards their independent licensure. At the root of all intervention is mindfulness and it shows up in all of Courtney's work. Being trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as well as being a total brain nerd makes Courtney a keen and tuned-in Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Currently, Courtney spends a large portion of her practice working with women dealing with anxiety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Courtney is anti-racist, pro-woman and pro-choice, sex-positive, and gender-affirming. She lives life as an activist through daily choices and is on a journey of seeking peace.
