I have a real passion working with people who are Makers, Creators, and Creatives yet for one reason or another are further away from that Self than is Preferred.
My Background and Approach
Audre Lorde wrote, “There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives”. I believe and practice from this framework. We are relational beings connected to each other and society. Making, Creating, and Creativity reach every corner of our lives. It's in the ways we Show Up and Show Out. It's in the ways we Quietly Exist. It's in the ways we respond during a Conflict, lean into our Kinky side, Parent our children, present in Professional Spaces, engage in our Internal Conversations -- it's the Impactful Moments and Decisions that inform the Crafting of Ourselves within this world. My goal as a therapist is to help bridge that divide/re-introduce/re-ignite our Present self with our Maker/Creator/Creator self. I love creating that bridge with talk therapy and the expressive arts.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value Collaboration and Feedback. I value sex-positive/kink-positive, gender affirming, sexuality affirming, anti-racist ways of practicing. As a queer, mama, trans-racial adoptee, cis-woman of color, I have a personal understanding of being othered and the complexities of intersectionalities. From that awareness, I walk alongside you.
