About My Clients
I work with teens, adults, and couples from all walks of life, especially those experiencing a sense of disconnection from their own sense of joy, purpose, or authenticity. If you're feeling distant from yourself or unsure of how to reclaim your pleasure, power, or playfulness, we can work together to explore these aspects of your life and find ways to reconnect. I specialize in working with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, relationship issue
My Background and Approach
My work is rooted in inclusive sexual health education, somatic practices, and non-death grief and loss. These areas of focus are crucial to supporting the processing of emotions and experiences across many parts of your life—whether that relates to your relationships, intimacy, family, or spirituality. I understand that grief and loss aren’t always about the death of a person, but can be about the loss of connection, identity, or a life you once envisioned. These types of grief can have a profound effect on your mental health, and together, we’ll explore the grief you're experiencing in whatever form it takes. I offer a sex-positive, health-at-every-size, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, where every part of your identity and experience is respected and validated. I work with individuals and couples in a racially and culturally mindful way, acknowledging and honoring the impact of culture, identity, and systemic forces on your mental and emotional health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach blends several therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic, narrative, and somatic techniques. Together, these approaches create a flexible, client-centered space where we can get curious about the patterns, beliefs, and stories that shape your life. We’ll explore how you’re feeling in your body, what your emotions are trying to tell you, and how you can take meaningful steps toward living a life that feels true to you. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, rooted in dignity and empowerment. You are the captain of your own ship, and I am invited into the space as a co-captain—partnering with you in your care. Together, we’ll work to build a foundation of trust and partnership, creating a space where your expertise about your own life is honored. My role is to walk beside you, offering guidance, tools, and a compassionate ear as you navigate the challenges you're facing and explore new possibilities.
