About My Clients

I am passionate about supporting clients who are working to embrace intersectional identities by helping them to fully integrate all parts of themselves. I also love working with parents and children to build healthy relationships. I am also passionate about helping couples and partners looking to increase intimacy to identify and examine their interactional patterns and renegotiate their roles to build stronger, more loving attachments with each other.

My Background and Approach

My previous experience as a therapist in community mental health settings prepared me to help my clients navigate challenging relationship dynamics and heal from traumatic circumstances. I have training in and have conducted research on working with survivors of trauma, incorporating the body and body awareness into traditional talk psychotherapy to facilitate a holistic approach to healing from trauma. I believe in the importance of building relationships with ourselves as well as with others where we feel safe enough to unabashedly be our most authentic selves, even (perhaps especially!) when this feels daunting or difficult. I aim to be a gentle source of encouragement for you to take healthy, emotional risks, so that you feel more connected and supported by your relationships. To this end, I am dedicated to collaborating with you to develop a shared understanding of what works for you individually and to use this guide our work together—you set the tone and pace for therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I firmly believe that we have the power to rewrite who society tells us we “should” be, challenging the status quo, and radically celebrating ourselves as an act of resistance. I am an intersectional feminist who is incredibly passionate about social justice and equity. I strive for culutral humility, and believe in the importance of uplifting marginalized communities, particularly LGBTQIA+ folx and BIPOC. I understand the difficulty of finding and building a community that is fully embracing of who you are and all parts of your identity. I am a dog lover and an unabashed book nerd who is deeply passionate about finding the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
