About My Clients
It is a really wonderful thing to not just be in a world where mental health care is embraced but encouraged. My aim is to assist adolescents and adults with learning -whether dealing with anxiety, unwanted thoughts, relationship conflict, family conflict, depression, or career changes- tools and strategies to manage the impact of challenges on their mental and emotional health.
My Background and Approach
I received a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I am excited to apply the knowledge and clinical experience gained from my studies. Before graduate school, I worked in human services in roles such as in-home therapeutic counselor, job coach, and helped formerly displaced adults transition to independent living. I am informed in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Brief Solution Focused therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe mental health is very important to the sustainment of a healthy and productive life. If someone is not well mentally it can and often does impact them in other areas of their lives i.e., relationships, career, family, ambitions, etc. However I also believe anyone has the power to transform their lives for the better, despite their background.
