About My Clients
Do you sometimes miss important events, or work, due to mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and anger? The first step in getting you into a therapeutic environment is to call for a consultation. Mental illness, or stress, can be debilitating. It can affect your sense of self, your sense of others, your employment, relationships, friendships, work, school, etc. Let's try to ease some of what ails you. If you give 100% of yourself to therapy, you will have great returns.
My Background and Approach
Everyone deserves to be treated as an individual, and I show that through my techniques used with clients. I hand pick coping skills and treatment modalities based on you as a person. If something doesn't work for you, we can devise another plan. I will not shove a triangle piece into the circle hole! In general, I use a mix of CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, humor, active listening, and coping skills. I want to give you at least 5 solid coping mechanisms that you can use in your life so you can function! My clients often report that they are feeling better after a month or two. The point is not to keep you in therapy forever, but to give you the tools that YOU will need to use out in the wild!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone deserves to have peace of mind and a chance to live the lives that they want to. Regarding our relationship, I will be more of a coach than someone who just tells you what to do. I believe that everyone is an expert on their own life and that you can help yourself using skills that we will work on, and uncover, together. I am a staunch believer that if you are not an anti-racist, you are part of the problem. I support BLM and I am also an LGBTQIA+ ally. I am not religious, but I know how much religion means to people, so I am always respectful, and will often provide ideas that involve your religion or place of worship.
