About My Clients
As a therapist, I use my inner gifts of nurturing and supportive sensitivity with clients. I explore a variety of treatment models and work with the client to discover what is best for them. I emphasize the importance of honesty and non-judgment, creating a safe space where clients can open up without fear of criticism. By offering genuine feedback and guidance, I assist my clients wherever they are on their therapy journey, helping them achieve their personal growth and healing goals.
My Background and Approach
With 29 years of experience in the field, I specialize in relationship and family issues, including foster care and adoption. My personal experience in these areas guides me in helping clients navigate their own challenges. Currently, I am working on my certification in EMDR to further enhance my therapeutic toolkit. Additionally, I have integrated two small therapy dogs into my practice, as I love animals and have seen the profound benefits of connecting people who are hurting with these comforting companions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Christian therapist, I believe in loving, guiding, and showing compassion to all individuals. I enjoy and am open to learning more about the experiences of others, including their personal journeys. This openness and willingness to understand diverse perspectives is integral to my practice and is part of what makes me a good therapist.
