About My Clients
Are you struggling to adjust to changes in your life or relationships? Trying to make sense of how to be your best self in a new phase of life? I know how hard it is to feel lonely, anxious, uncertain, and stuck, and I know that therapy can help you find the clarity, courage, creativity, confidence, and self-compassion that will heal your connection to yourself and others. Whether it's in your relationship, career, creative work, or other roles, I look forward to helping you grow.
My Background and Approach
I work from an Internal Family Systems approach, informed by attachment theory and Emotionally-Focused Therapy. As your therapist, I will work to connect you to the hidden parts of yourself and free them from the burdens they carry. Together, we will untangle and make sense of your difficult feelings, and work to open up greater possibilities for deep connection to yourself and to others. For couples and families, I will work to create safety and awareness in the room so that interactional patterns can be identified and explored. With individuals, I use the therapeutic relationship as a secure base, providing a safe and confidential space for you to discover yourself and grow into the person you are meant to be, finding your own calm center. I am trained in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in modern life, therapy is one of the few places where we can work create the sense of safety and connection that allows us to grow into our most fulfilled and wholehearted selves. I earned my Master of Arts from a wonderfully progressive institution, Antioch University, and my experience there challenged me to expand and grow beyond my comfort zone and confront issues of oppression, privilege, and inequality. My education there also connected me to previously disowned parts of myself. I know my continued growth in these areas makes me a stronger, more compassionate therapist. Before earning my master’s degree from Antioch University Los Angeles, I pursued my passions for film and music in the entertainment industry. My time on that path taught me so much about connecting to deep human emotion. Becoming a spouse and parent myself has informed my work with clients and inspires me to focus on helping couples, families, and individuals thrive in their relationships.
