We all find ourselves in situations where we struggle, become discouraged, or get "stuck". It's normal for us to, at times, be pushed to the threshold of what we may believe we are capable of managing. But whether our difficulties come to us in the form of overwhelming school or work obligations, an unhealthy relationship, or an inability to find the appropriate way to cope with a difficult emotion or painful memory, we can always find a way to not only manage, but to thrive.
My Background and Approach
Central to my therapeutic approach is the collaborative nature of the therapeutic relationship. I view therapy as a partnership, where both client and therapist work together towards fostering insight, growth, and meaningful change. Through active listening, compassionate support, and evidence-based interventions, I strive to empower clients to navigate life's challenges, develop healthier coping strategies, and cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves. Drawing from various therapeutic modalities, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client. I believe in the importance of cultivating a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, my journey into the field of mental health has been shaped by a deep-seated passion for understanding human behavior and facilitating transformative change. I believe that everyone has the ability to create positive and meaningful change in their lives but can sometimes get stuck in problematic behavioral or thinking patterns that get in the way of doing so. With some work, those barriers can be overcome to foster healthier experiences.
