About My Clients
My goal is to provide a safe, warm space where clients can feel seen, heard and accepted. Whether you are looking for therapy to address childhood trauma, grief, anxiety, depression or for personal development, I am here to help you work towards a more fulfilling life.
My Background and Approach
I work primarily with young adults and adults, individually or in a couples context. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques stemming from cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory and mindfulness based practices. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting, deep healing techniques often used in processing experiences and traumas. As an artist myself, I also incorporate expressive art therapies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a culture, we are taught to suppress our emotions. We would do anything and everything to distract ourselves as opposed to diving in. I’m a firm believer that our bodies hold our emotions, experiences and traumas. What would it be like to sit with ourselves? I believe that if we turn within, we can find the resources to deal with any problem and we can create a life of satisfaction, love and joy. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and affirmative therapist. I am an avid supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement and I continue to support Black mental health organizations such as the Loveland Foundation.
