About My Clients
You're sitting there, hoping that the therapist across from you really understands. You want to finally talk about the secret feelings or issues, but you're afraid to say anything when the time comes. Instead of being vulnerable and open, you feel shame, guilt, fear, and anger at yourself. The topics stay comfortable; time drags on. Maybe you go back, maybe you don't. I get it. I'm here to teach you the specific skills which may help you with stress, regulate emotions, & improve relationships.
My Background and Approach
Are you looking for a welcoming and inclusive therapist? Do you want someone who understands the unique challenges LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, and people with marginalized identities face today? Are you searching for a kink/poly-knowledgeable, sex-positive therapist? My dual licensure in addictions and mental health counseling means that I have the expertise to help with many of the issues that may arise – be it addiction or anxiety, depression or self-esteem, trauma or abuse, racism or discrimination. I'm here to teach you the specific skills which may help you change your life. I'm an affirming therapist here for you to bring whatever issues you really have to the table. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider with years of experience working with diverse populations. I am available only for Colorado Residents.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everybody should be treated with dignity and respect, no matter what their story is. I offer a variety of counseling services designed to help you thrive. Whether you struggle with addiction, depression, anxiety, or just need someone to tell your truth. I am here for you. I work diligently towards creating a space where people feel welcome and honored. I strive to advance equity by examining my biases and dismantling oppressive beliefs in myself and when working with others. I'm a member of the following organizations and associations: American Counseling Association, The World Professional Association for Transgender Health, The National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, Association of Addiction Professionals, Colorado Association of Addiction Counselors, NALGAP: The Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Addiction Professionals and Their Allies. Accessibility and affordability are important to me, that is why I accept Loveland and Mental Health Fund vouchers.
