My Background and Approach
I studied art therapy at a school for social justice, where I worked with eating disorders at a private practice in Chicago. I finished a PhD in Jungian psychology and I love to integrate mythic, metaphorical, symbolic, and imaginal ways of knowing into my therapy practice. I have been a therapist for eating disorders in Boulder, CO at a partial hospitalization program where I provided meal support, group therapy, and individual counseling.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aim to help individuals find deep meaning within their suffering and symptoms. My specialities are eating disorders, body image, mood disorders, life transitions, identity/personality concerns, creative blocks, and relationship issues. In addition to CBT, DBT, ACT, inner parts (IFS), motivational interviewing, I like to integrate Jungian archetypes, art therapy, and somatic/chakra energy work. I want to help you find tangible skills you can use to feel more free, peaceful, and connected to your life purpose. My compassion and soul-centered feminist approach aligns with anti-diet and health at every size to promote healing and liberation from a fat-phobic society. I am LGBTQ+ aligned.
