You are radical and you want something different from therapy. You won't find blank stares and endless "how do you feel?" with me. I want to be your teammate and I want you to come back! No one wants to come back to therapy to sit across from a brick wall. I am a real human and I want to connect with you during your journey. Therapy should be at your pace and happen on your terms. My Background and Approach
I utilize evidence based treatment modalities, such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am able to help you as you move through life’s struggles, such as anxiety, depression, adjustment, relationship problems, grief, insomnia, perfectionism, self-esteem, and trauma. Despite the modalities that I lean on, I am flexible and we work with the modality that you prefer or find the most benefit in. Let's tailor this experience to fit you and your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe Black Lives Matter. I stand with LGBTQAI individuals as an ally who votes and protests to protect human rights. I believe in protecting the rights of those with uteruses to maintain their bodily autonomy. I am a practitioner who believes there can be Health at Every Size and operates from an anti-diet culture mentality. I think therapy should be decolonized and I talk about these difficult things in session as they arise, because that is how we begin making changes to our society.
