About My Clients
I work with individuals and couples who are looking for support and guidance as they navigate the process of self exploration and healing. The experiences we've had, from early childhood on, can have a profound impact on the way we perceive ourselves, others, and even the world around us. Therapy can offer supported self-discovery that can lead to growth that allows for deeper acceptance, connection, & fulfillment.
My Background and Approach
I am an associate clinical social worker practicing with The Creative Healing Group in Albany, CA. I believe the development of an effective therapeutic relationship relies on building trust between the therapist and client. I aim to create an environment where your whole, authentic self can be present and accepted. I respect the sovereignty and wisdom of each client in discovering their own answers. You are the healer of yourself and my role is to be a trained supporter to assist you in navigating your own unique process. My orientation is person-centered, relational, and humanistic. The way I practice therapy revolves around respecting and honoring my clients’ unique set of experiences that have shaped their lives and perspectives. I have great respect for how each person is a complete amalgamation of their own unique experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the self-determination of human beings, and in our abilities to grow, change, accept, and heal. I aim to support people in navigating such a journey by providing an environment of trust to support each person's unique process. Systems of oppression and abuse of power impact all elements of life, including mental health. The work I do will always be grounded not only in supporting clients in addressing and healing from the impacts of these systems, but in taking action when and where possible to facilitate change that focuses on community, care, and love. I am committed to a lifelong journey of growth and evolution into becoming the most authentic therapist and person I can be.
