Being a teenager is difficult. The current circumstance can make it difficult as there are many uncertainties, and changes that can make it difficult to feel stable. I hope to equip my clients with the tools they need throughout their life.
Anxiety can seem like a never ending battle. However, it does not have to be. I help my clients turn Anxiety into a friend that can help them through life. By listening to Anxiety, we can learn to move toward our feelings, thus improving life.
Depression can impact many parts of your life. Personal relationships, work, and passions don't seem the same. It may seem lonely or frustrating. Know that you are not alone, and that you can get through this with help. Through exploring how depression entered your life, we can work against it, helping you get back to your life.
Narrative therapy aims to look at the stories about ourselves, our abilities, our desires, interests, and even our failures. The ways we interact with these stories can be unhelpful. The therapist helps the client re-story these allowing for growth.
CBT looks to examine the interaction between situations, the thoughts that come from that, and the emotions that follow. CBT allows the client to understand their own cycles in relationship to thoughts/behaviors.
Mindfulness meditation has been shown to allow clients to grow the relationship between the mind and body. Through practice, clients can enhance their emotional resilience while allowing for moments of relaxation. I help guide my clients through multiple forms of mindfulness that allow them to be more responsive.
