About My Clients
Have you struggled with feelings of sadness, depression and anxiety for years without knowing why? Do you want to free yourself from old habits and unhealthy patterns and live a more vibrant and meaningful life? Feeling stuck and unable to move forward with plans, projects and goals? As a depth oriented psychotherapist, I can help you get to the root of what is troubling you and connect with yourself in a deep and meaningful way.
My Background and Approach
I believe that anxiety, depression, loss of vitality, disordered eating, and addictions are symptoms of a deeper issue whose root cause must be treated in order to fully heal. Together, we will work to understand and heal the issues that are impeding your well-being, while doing the deep emotional work that results in a reconnection with ourselves and creates lasting change. My approach is multi-faceted and is grounded in the principles of psychodynamic, relational, and attachment theory. Often, what ails us in the present has it’s roots in the past. Therefore, we may visit the past to learn and to heal, while focusing on steps we can take in the here and now to help us live more vibrantly. It is my belief that asking ourselves deep, meaningful questions leads to the beginning of powerful transformation. I provide a safe, warm, and inviting space for you to begin to explore your feelings, and consider it a sacred privilege to walk beside you on your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe it is a sacred privilege to be alive on this planet, and that even if we live to be 100 years old, it will still seem like our lives were too short. We owe it to ourselves and we owe it to those around us to live our lives well in mind, body, spirit, heart and soul. This means discovering what is most important to us, and actively taking steps to live with integrity and vibrancy. I have practiced yoga, meditation, and psychological inquiry for over 30 years, and have been teaching yoga and contemplative practices for over 10 years. I use these practices daily for my own physical and mental well-being, and love helping clients to incorporate holistic practices into their own lives. I have had the incredible good fortune to be introduced to Jungian Theory over 15 years ago and am an active participant in the Philadelphia Association for Jungian Analysts' monthly seminar.
