About My Clients
Whether your struggle is anxiety, depression, grief or a difficult life adjustment, I recognize that human nature is to resist our experience, rely on unhelpful patterns and create cycles of shame. Clients can expect a compassionate and reflective experience to explore your present experience with your struggles to help step out of the patterns through acceptance.
My Background and Approach
I will offer components of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and acceptance commitment therapy to learn to be present with our struggle. In this awareness of our suffering, we can develop practices of self-compassion and resilience to build a path to acceptance. It is important to my practice to handle client's trauma with a compassionate and trauma-informed approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have experience working in medical social work with extensive work in grief, end of life, infant/pregnancy loss and disease adjustment. As a social worker, I can offer the individual therapeutic experience with a person in environment which offers a holistic treatment of an individual's struggles. I believe that the roots of healing are grounded in connections based in non-judgmental acceptance with mindful compassion. The path to change and renewal must first start in a safe and open space.
