About My Clients
I specialize in working with young adults and adults who are experiencing stress due to life transitions such as a change in career, starting a new relationship, and moving and due to relational difficulties with their partners, families, and friends. My clients appreciate the relaxed and comfortable setting that allows them to be open and honest. Together, we will figure out goals and tangible solutions to achieve them and ways to reduce anxiety and decrease depressive symptoms.
My Background and Approach
My approach and theoretical orientation is a mix of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Positive Therapy. I use CBT to help my clients identify cognitive distortions and irrational thoughts, how it negatively impacts their lives, and challenge and shift their thoughts and distortions to bring about positive changes and improvements. My clients improve their emotional regulation and develop healthier coping strategies. Through Person-Centered Therapy, I get to fully know and understand my clients. I give them the safe space that they need to express and process their emotions. My clients gain deeper insight, a sense of independence, and resilience to move forward. With Solution-Focused Therapy, my clients and I work collaboratively to develop solutions to their problems and goals that they will like to achieve in the future. My clients appreciate the directness and focus in creating tangible solutions to their problems.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is unique and deserves the space to express who they are without judgment or fear. I value and respect all individuals from all walks of life. It is a great joy for me to learn from, grow with, and experience life with all the different people I work with and encounter.
