About My Clients
I work with a broad range of people struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma (shock and complex/developmental), interpersonal problems, obsessive/compulsive patterns of thinking and behaving, substance use/abuse, ADHD, High Functioning Autism/Asperger's, personal discovery and spiritual development, preparation and integration of psychedelic experiences or other expanded states of consciousness, and people interested in vipassana/mindfulness meditation.
My Background and Approach
I received my doctorate in clinical psychology (PsyD) from the California Institute of Integral Studies; a holistic practice-focused program that bridges depth-psychology, the latest scientific research and neuroscience, and the world’s great wisdom traditions. I am grateful for attending a unique program that emphasizes multiple ways of knowing, sociocultural factors, and spiritual dimensions of human experience. I have extensive training and experience in providing long term psychodynamically oriented therapy, but primarily see myself as integrative in how I work. I have trained and worked in a variety of settings including community mental health clinics doing both psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessments, in-home behavioral services for individuals on the autism spectrum, school and university settings, and a harm-reduction based drug treatment center. I have also been an active volunteer at Spirit Rock Meditation Center’s Family and Teen program as a mindful leader.
