I specialize in therapy for anxiety, depression, relationships, loss, self-esteem, and trauma. I use cognitive therapy, eye movement therapy or EMDR, and relational therapy for healing. Together we explore patterns of self-defeating feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and actions to uncover their roots. I offer skills and tools to self-soothe, set clear boundaries, and manage anxiety. Therapy can help you respond in healthy ways, enjoy your relationships, and make better life choices. My style in therapy is warm, honest, and interactive. I always try to understand why my client feels and behaves how they do. Often behavior that is difficult, makes sense when we understand that our brain is just trying to protect us, and has developed coping strategies to do just that. Sometimes, these coping strategies result in unhappy outcomes and so we need to fix them fast. I see human beings as as always capable of positive lasting change, and that hard times and crisis are growth opportunities.
I provide a safe place in which you are deeply understood, while being supported towards lasting growth and change. I'm a licensed seasoned therapist in long-term private practice, and I taught psychology at a local college. My goal is for you to feel safe enough to tell me anything and everything. If it is difficult to say and feel, then the best place to deal with it, is in our session. Our goal in therapy is to create balance in your life, and help you live the life you deserve, a life filled with an abundance of inner peace, fulfillment, and happiness.
Please note, I charge $175 per session and I do not accept insurance. I am out of network and can provide a superbill.
