About My Clients
We may be a good fit for each other if any of the following statements describe you: • You’ve always had high expectations of yourself and those closest to you, but things haven’t gone quite as planned. • You’re struggling to navigate a sea of complexities outside of your control. • You want to connect with yourself and others who can understand and accept you for who you are. • You live between cultures and can’t seem to find the middle ground.
My Background and Approach
I use (he/him/his) pronouns and identify as a first-generation American-born Filipino Male. I acknowledge that therapy is not a quick fix but an ever-changing journey of self-discovery and improvement. I utilize psychodynamic/psychoanalytic techniques that highlight the importance of connection to yourself and the world around you and help you unveil and understand the sources of your suffering. One of the most valued elements of my work is the relational depth I cultivate with my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work with a range of concerns including complex trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, identity development, relational & family conflict, and life transitions. I am WPATH member and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. I'm committed to the needs associated across all multicultural spectrums and integrate historical and systemic considerations as well. It's never easy to reach out; stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary & exhausting. I understand. I will work with you step by step. I firmly believe anyone can recover from their pain & struggles with the appropriate support; they can even grow & thrive to arrive closer to their desired future. I am honored to be a guide in your healing journey.
