Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms. I have seen rapid results and progress with brainspotting and offer it to adult and teen individuals.
Are anxious and self-critical thoughts making your life small? Humans don’t react well to uncertainty, and not much feels certain right now. Compounding this, we are experiencing this uncertainty collectively. Reaching out to friends or loved ones may not be as easy considering that others are carrying their own burdens. I incorporate mindfulness and polyvagal theory to help clients manage anxiety symptoms and anxious thoughts.
Burnout is becoming more common and can often mask other issues such as anxiety, depression and trauma. You may have blind spots about what’s draining your energy. Therapy for burnout helps by giving you time and space to unpack the societal and institutional factors that prevent you from getting what you need in your everyday life.
Therapy using expressive arts does not require artistic experience or skill. I work with and listen to your levels of comfort around different methods of expression, so that you feel engaged and not overwhelmed. I tailor expressive approaches to what will work for you. But mainly, I welcome and encourage you to get a little weird in our sessions. We have a natural appetite for play and expression, and not enough chances to engage with them.
