About My Clients
Your authentic you is welcome with me, as is the chance to explore who that human is, and wants to be. You might identify as a member of the LGBTQIA community. You are welcome here. My hope is to support you in the challenges and triumphs unique to you being you. I find diversity beautiful and love the spectrums of race, gender, and sexuality. I am trans-affirming and support transitions. I support the health of traditional and non-traditional intimate relationships. Love is love.
My Background and Approach
Struggle and pain are some of the most difficult parts of being human. I believe we are doing the best we can to handle what comes our way with the resources and experience we have. Facing life can also be more than we know how to handle. That’s okay. It doesn’t mean we are weak or doing something wrong. Part of being human is the gift to learn and grow. I believe therapy is a beautiful resource for learning and growth. My hope as your therapist is to walk that road of learning and growing with you. As we walk we get to explore different paths to move you towards where you find you want to go. My style of therapy is like we are building a sandcastle together. The vision of the castle is yours, and it might change over time. That is normal. My goal is to give you the buckles, seashells, kelp, shovels, and sand for you to build. Throughout my years as a therapist, I have been collecting many sandcastle tools to share with you. Therapy is the balance of us building together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life is too short for us to not be ourselves. Our identifies aren't just enough, they are beautiful. I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA community. I identify as pansexual and non-binary. I also recognize as a white and female-presenting human there are experiences I cannot personally relate to and do not understand. I recognize my privilege. If you let me, I want to learn. My hope is to learn and understand as much as I can. You are the expert on you, and I strive to walk with the humility for you to teach me about your experience. My belief and hope for anyone is a life you want to give your energy towards. I believe we are the owners of our bodies and have the right to make choices about our own bodies related to consent, presentation, body modification, occupation, relationships, transitions, abortion rights, and human rights. Part of my life's mission is to support and fight for these rights, especially for people of color who have not had them. No one is illegal to me.
