About My Clients
If you're struggling to maintain your basic needs because you're in survival mode, I see you. It can feel impossible to navigate chronic burnout, especially when the path may be blocked by barriers related to chronic illness, executive functioning and sensory needs, and/or unprocessed trauma. These barriers can often be paired with shame and guilt, which makes it difficult to connect with others around you. While it may feel overwhelming to find a path to healing, I am here to help co-navigate.
My Background and Approach
My approach is trauma-informed and client centered, with focuses in neurodiversity affirming, queer affirming, and sex-positive therapy. I am an EMDR therapist, and often use various techniques that offer a balance of structure and flexibility. These skills help to broaden the understanding of your internal world, while leaning into curiosity and compassion. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), EMDR therapist, and I have additional training in trauma-informed counseling. I also hold certificates in psychological first aid and telemental health counseling. Our sessions together will be a choose-your-own adventure, meaning that you have the autonomy to decide what we focus on together. I invite you to come as you are, and I will provide the space for you to be just that. If anything on my profile resonates with you, please feel free to reach out for a consultation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that our past informs our present, though with the access to proper support and resources, we have the ability to adapt and accommodate our needs. I am very passionate about educating others of the overlap of neurodiversity, chronic illness, and its implications on mental health. Too many people experience the dismissal of chronic pain, especially when it is related to internal reproductive systems, and I believe it is crucial to be educated on misdiagnoses, the mind/body connection, and self advocacy. I volunteer with a local political progressive organization which offers knowledge of our political system to its voters, and supports policies that protect rights of minority groups negatively affected by systematic oppression of white supremacy.
