About My Clients
Do you feel like no matter what you do it's not good enough? Do feelings of guilt and shame rule your life? You go through the motions, fake smile to pretend you're okay as you try to manage the anxiety, sadness and self-doubt. It can feel lonely to live in this place. You want to feel confident and calm so that you move through your days with ease, have healthy relationships and feel present in your life. You're ready to connect to yourself with awareness and compassion to create change.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in helping individuals build a relationship with themself. In our work, we’ll explore the patterns that impact your life and relationships. We’ll connect you with your mind, body, soul and spirit so that you gain insight and self-awareness to discover what you need to be your truest Self. Through a trauma-informed lens we’ll explore nervous system practices, somatic therapy, parts work, chakra system, mindfulness and self-compassion. I resonate with a feminist and cultural framework as social justice is a part of the exploration as I continue on my own imperfect journey related to anti-racist work. I believe in LBGTQIA+ rights, HAES, women's reproductive rights and environmental rights. Through experiential practices we'll uncover the tools that most resonate with you so that between sessions you can have ways to manage your emotions, quiet your mind and practice self-care. In addition, I'm a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), EMDR and Yin Yoga Certified.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that connection, compassion, support and community are essential for humans to heal and grow into their true self. I believe that our Highest Self is uncovered as we learn to trust ourselves, know what we want and need in our lives and feel tapped into our personal power. From my personal and professional experience, I know that change is possible and that you can feel the same sense of freedom and compassion for yourself. I trust in the power of my intuition to guide me and want other individuals to hold the same trust. As Rumi said, "Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself." I also offer trauma-informed somatic and yoga groups to further explore these practices and heal from trauma. The current groups: Yoga for Trauma Survivors: Somatic and Heart Centered Practices for Healing (Jan. 25th-Feb 29th, 2024) Yoga for Trauma Healing: Move Through Shame (Jan. 31st-Feb 21st, 2024)
