About My Clients
Have you been feeling overwhelmed, depressed, burnt out, or uncertain about the future? Maybe you are burdened by a constant humming of anxiety that you just can't shake? I know how the pain of anxiety, trauma, stress, and loss can shrink your world and leave you feeling disconnected, avoidant, and full of doubt. Therapy can be a guiding light back to what matters most. I can teach you the skills to navigate this terrain and realign with your values, purpose, and meaning in life.
My Background and Approach
I have a decade of experience in Mental Healthcare and am a US Army Veteran. I am licensed in Washington & Oregon and have specialized training in several effective behavioral therapies, grief counseling, mindfulness, EMDR, & exposure based therapies for OCD, PTSD, and anxiety. We will explore how your current relationships and behavior patterns are influenced by thoughts, emotions, and past experiences. You will learn valuable skills to increase self-compassion, work through painful emotions, and live more aligned with your values. In therapy, you can experience the benefit of a kind, supportive connection and learn life-affirming skills. I love helping individuals break free from the old, limiting messages of their pasts and experience the healing and vitality they deserve. We will get to the root of what's hurting and get you back to living life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is an opportunity to explore, heal, and grow. My orientation to therapy is strength-based and trauma-informed, with intentional focus on individual strengths, relationships, resilience, culture, and consideration for lived experience. My aim is to reduce human suffering and honor the values of each individual, while empowering them with tools to cultivate change, meaning, and purpose in life. I believe that everyone has the potential to make meaningful changes in life that draw them closer to what matters most. I believe all humans have inherent worth and deserve dignity and respect, no matter their race, age, ability, gender identity, religion, socio-economic status, or sexual orientation. Therapy is a sacred experience and I do not take my responsibility lightly. I will always strive to practice non-violence and make amends when I drop the ball. I am a lifelong learner and continue to expand my heart and mind to evolve personally and professionally.
