About My Clients
Feeling anxious or overwhelmed? Not sure why you keep repeating behaviors? Are your thoughts on repeat? I work with people dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, self-esteem, burnout, conflicts, family issues, and other problems life throws our way. Each client has a unique story and personality and I will collaborate with you on the best interventions for your specific needs.
My Background and Approach
Through cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and other interventions, I work with clients to rewire negative thought patterns and habits, understand their emotions, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and find different perspectives. I use a trauma-informed approach to provide compassionate care and offer an open, judgment-free zone as I listen and provide support through our work together. I have a Master of Education from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at William & Mary. In addition, I have earned certificates in Trauma-Informed Care from Indiana University Bloomington and have completed multiple trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there is hope even when we don't see it. Our minds can be complicated places and can trap us and play tricks on us; these traps can hold us back from the life we want. I believe that all humans deserve respect and the opportunity to grow and lead fulfilling lives.
