I have 6 years of experience working in outpatient and inpatient mental health settings with children, adolescents, and adults. I have my Master of Social Work degree from San Diego State University and received the majority of my training and experience at Rady Children's Hospital and the Defense Health Agency. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues and parenting issues. In therapy you will gain knowledge and a new perspective about your symptoms, learn coping skills to manage those symptoms, and build your support system. My approach is non-judgmental, collaborative, and direct. You are the expert on your life and likely you already have many strengths that can be built upon to help improve your symptoms. I am certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I have training in and utilize Dialectic Behavior Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy in my sessions as well.
