About My Clients
Does it ever feel like anxiety is controlling your life? Have you ever felt like you make decisions based on your anxiety versus what you actually want to be doing? I understand how frustrating it can be to feel like you are on auto-pilot, simply "going through the motions" but never feeling like you are living a fulfilling life. Together, we will explore healthier perspectives, new ways of thinking, and learn to use effective techniques outside of session so that you can feel more in control!
My Background and Approach
I graduated with my bachelor's in psychology from North Dakota State University and went onto complete my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. I have been working with OCD and anxiety disorders since beginning my clinical work in 2018, and am trained and experienced in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have completed an extensive amount of trainings related to anxiety, phobias, and OCD, and the associated treatment of these disorders. I am a firm believer in giving my clients the necessary information to truly understand what they are experiencing and give them effective, evidence-based techniques to use outside of session in order to better manage their symptoms.
