About My Clients

I have worked with creatives & performers, social justice-oriented folx, teachers & healthcare workers. Most of my experience & interests are working with those experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, & interpersonal stress. I am queer affirmative & I primarily work with adults & intimate partners.

My Background and Approach

Trusting your therapist is integral to the healing process. I prioritize taking time to create & establish a safe space tailored to each individual client’s needs. I take a collaborative, relational, culturally sensitive & trauma-informed approach. To balance out the deeper work, I like to weave in mindfulness, somatic exercises, and humor. My clinical training and experiences include queer affirmative therapy, depth psychology, eating disorder treatment, & somatic techniques. I help my clients identify any challenging patterns or themes in their lives and with these insights we unearth, empower & amplify their unique resiliency and strengths.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I view the therapy space as a holding place for clients to get to know who they really are through self-love, compassion & safety. I value authenticity & humor (when appropriate) in the therapeutic space. I consider each client’s external environments as frameworks to work under, including systemic privileges &/or oppressions, racial, ethnic & cultural & gender identities. I consider how my privileges affect my clients & am committed to a lifelong learning of multicultural competency & anti racism. Through my training in somatic therapy, I’ve learned how important it is to be in touch with our bodies & nervous systems to self-soothe and self-regulate; oftentimes our bodies know what we need before our brains. Before becoming a therapist, I worked & volunteered for a wide range of professions and industries spanning from public & charter schools, Crisis Text Line (a text-based suicide hotline) technology, non-profit organizations, & the arts.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
