About My Clients
I work with issues of queerness, gender, sex work, kink, various iterations of polyamory, consensual non-monogamy and monogamy, spiritual and creative process, and those looking for systemic change. People who are ready to incorporate the body, nervous system, and relational work into our practice together find my work especially resonant.
What I Specialize In
My specialization is in relational and developmental trauma. I am a graduate of the JFKU Somatic Psychotherapy program, my educational foundation is wholly in the mind/body connection as a healing portal. I come from a social justice background, active in community care projects for sex workers and queers as well as the anti-war, BLM movements and harm reduction community. My main orientation is relational somatic healing, a relational and attachment focussed somatic touch method that includes connection, safety and liberation as healing experiences through cellular consciousness and the nervous system. I am also trained in EMDR. This can be a helpful support in trauma processing. My spiritual practice is grounded in earth based paganism, Judaism and Buddhism, and I have a daily meditation practice that grounds me in my work. That said, I believe in meeting you where you are at, and will only draw on these elements in our work if appropriate.
My Values as a Therapist
I am queer, a former sex worker, and kink positive. I am the creator of the whoresbath.org, and am wholly committed to community care for marginalized communities. I have been active in the anti-war movements, needle exchange, harm reduction education and organizing, the sex worker rights movement, including directing the SF Sex Worker Film and Art Festival for two decades, and queer organizing for Black Lives Matter. My current focus is now building my tool kit for one on one and group healing, but my heart will always also be in movement building for greater social change for sexual and gender minorities.
