Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) allows for one to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that take place towards something specific. How we perceive whatever that something is, plays a big part on what takes place moving forward. I use CBT to challenge and assist in reframing thoughts that may cause distress.
Person-Centered allows one to focus on the client, their desires, goals, and allows the client to drive the process. I use Person-Centered to empower and encourage clients that they are in control of their lives and are the expert. I am along to support in the journey.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is one that allows for the focus to be on the solution to the problem. Short and driven towards the problem solving aspect. I support the client in organizing the chaos that life has built, in order to push towards their goal.
Anxiety can show in different forms. I support my clients with acknowledging triggers that may take place, recognizing that what has caused anxiety to take place. We work together on managing and coping through our moments of high points where anxiety is present.
