About My Clients
I love working with highly sensitive individuals, neurodivergent minds, artists, introverts, intuitives, & outsiders of all kinds. I believe there is a place for you in this world, even when it feels like it wasn’t designed with you in mind at all. Using a trauma and attachment informed approach, I strive to create an atmosphere of safety, consistency, and containment, while simultaneously promoting risk-taking and emotional honesty. My practice is queer-affirming + liberation oriented.
My Background and Approach
You can learn more about my approach to counseling on my website @ Erin-Love.com. My approach to counseling is best suited for those who are seeking to know and appreciate each part of themselves more deeply. I use an Insight-Oriented approach to counseling that integrates Experiential and Humanistic modalities. This includes elements of parts work (IFS), mindful self-compassion, guided visualization, archetypal imagery, SoulCollage, and narrative therapy practices. As an artist, I find ways of incorporating creative self-expression and non-verbal forms of communication into sessions to create opportunities for you to understand various aspects of yourself and your experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I could be the right therapist for you if: You feel ready to commit to the process of therapy and gain insight into who you are, what you love, ways you’ve been wounded, and explore pathways for healing. You are interested in more than traditional talk therapy and feel comfortable engaging in experiential work that is immersive, creative, and hands on. You long to feel connected to something greater and want to dedicate time exploring things like your spirituality, purpose in life, and make meaning of your experiences. You are motivated by self-reflection and curious to understand the various parts of who you are. You thrive in situations that allow for freedom of choice, creativity, and adaptibility. You are an artist/creative struggling with self-worth, fear of failure, creative block, and work-life balance. You are neurodivergent and need a therapist with this lived experience who understands the challenges you face and who will affirm and believe you.
