Sometimes life is overwhelming. That fear that something (or everything!) will go wrong, the sick feeling in your gut, the feeling that things are out of your control. I get that, and it's hard! While so much of our life truly is beyond our control, we can often change how we relate to them and the meaning we derive from them. I use mindfulness and compassionate curiosity with clients to make peace with anxiety.
Life is rarely static and seldom goes exactly the way we'd planned or hoped.Even when there's not a global pandemic, change can be daunting. How do you decide you're ready to leave behind familiar in order to pursue what could be? Or maybe you didn't make the choice (#2020), so how do you readjust to the new normal? I help clients identify where they're coming from and where they want to go, and how to get there, in a way that honors and strengthens their choice and agency.
Adolescence and early adulthood can be an exhilarating and intimidating time of life. As you transition out of childhood, you're faced with many important questions like who you are and what you want for your life, as so much of your world changes. School, career, relationships, sexuality, spirituality, family. It's a lot to sort through alone! I sit with clients to help them navigate this period with compassion, courage, and curiosity.
