About My Clients
Are you someone who is looking for an environment to better understand their identity and roles within the world, community and family? Walking through life feeling uprooted and lost is difficult. Whether that is due to microaggressions, hostile political climate, “ism’s” or difficult family beliefs and expectations. Having a warm environment where you can freely express and explore your world can help you to build resiliency and empower yourself to make more fulfilling choices.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in using various interventions including art, talk, guided meditation, CBT, and role playing. However, first and foremost, I am relational. This means, I want to work with you and collaborate on what healing looks like. While I may offer suggestions and skills when necessary, I believe what most people need is a gentle space to express themselves, free of judgement. My past experience in the last 6 years has been with a wide range of individuals and backgrounds with various issues ranging from anxiety, and parenting stress to depression and grief. I am also trauma informed and rooted in social justice. I have a background in political science and understand how trauma is not only single incidents such as a car crash, or medical trauma, but also how social and political systems can be a major force of ongoing trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a firm believer in human rights for all, and intersectionality.
