About My Clients

Many of my clients are spouses, adult children, or family who support a person living with dementia. I work with the family support system both practically, offering caregiver education, tips & strategies to support the person with dementia, and emotionally, helping them process the grief and ongoing losses of dementia. Clients also seek my support once they've lost a loved one and need help adjusting to the loss and processing their grief. Others seek support around life transitions.

My Background and Approach

Two decades of treating individuals, building caregiver support programs, and educating families make me qualified to address the unique needs of older adults. Upon graduating from Penn’s School of Social Policy and Practice in 2008, I developed a social work program at the Penn Memory Center, where I gained expertise working with people with memory loss and their caregivers/families. I support my clients practically and emotionally as they adjust to changes inherent in a diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias. I offer consultations, helping families understand the progressive nature of dementia and providing guidance on navigating the complex journey ahead. In therapy, I help my clients process and adjust to the changes they are facing, improve self-care, and achieve their goaIs. I understand the ongoing losses caregivers experience and will hold space for the grief they are feeling as caregivers and after the final loss of their loved one.
