About My Clients
Many individuals go through periods of their life where they are searching for a deeper, more meaningful understanding of who they are as a person. I enjoy working with clients who are navigating this phase of life as it can be so rewarding to see the transformational changes that my clients make. I invite you to explore the meaning and correlation between topics like anxiety, communication, family, and work to your relationship with substance use, grief, sex, identity, trauma.
My Background and Approach
The most important part of the therapeutic process is building a trusting, authentic relationship. My goal is to form a collaborative partnership where my clients and I can learn and explore deeper meaning together. I practice from a judgment-free, sex-positive, queer-aligned perspective that encourages clients to view themselves holistically and form connections between past and current experiences. I encourage growth and healing on a foundation of warmth, connection, education, and empathetic reflection.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in a person-centered approach that is guided by the needs of each individual client. My practice is a non-hierarchical, collaborative relationship that inspires self-discovery and holds the dignity and worth of the human being at its core. It is my job to empower you to liberate yourself from barriers, both internal and external. As a member of the queer community, I am passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ people and those living with HIV. Additionally, I am a trauma survivor and a sober person actively engaged in a recovery community and strive to ensure all people have access to the same support I did.
