I grew up in New York during the AIDS crisis - a time when it was dangerous to come out as or be gay. I did not have the support of family or friends and school was a nightmare. I never felt like I fit in or that I was "normal." I struggled with my identity for years. I experienced depression, anxiety, and I felt desperately lonely and unfulfilled.
I eventually sought treatment and worked with an incredible therapist who taught me how to accept and love myself. She taught me that life was more than just survival. She showed me that I could live, thrive, and be happy. I was so inspired by her and this journey that I became a practitioner to fulfill my lifelong dream of helping others find strength, healing, joy, and peace.
