I work with my clients from a holistic perspective on who they are and their goals. I believe that the work in therapy is not to stay in the therapy room but to help support the client to take tools and insights into their lives. I choose to pursue marriage and family therapy because it focuses on the relationships we have in our lives and how we live in the community both on a small and large scale.
I have worked providing counseling in the educational environments of high schools, alternative schools, and universities. I have a unique insight into how the system of education can both support and hurt those it is working to serve. Additionally, I have a passion for working with preteens and young adults as they are transitioning into the adult they are hoping to be, which often is linked to decisions around "what's next."
